Xifeng taxation bureau has been deepening its reforms and streamlining its tax-related services in order to improve the local business environment and revitalize the economy, according to news released by the bureau on May 18.
Responding to conditions "on the ground" in the county, the bureau has sorted out the tax source structure, and classified 6,231 enterprises and 25,195 individually-owned businesses in the county by means of their industry types, scales and locations. Tax management has also been made more detailed and specific, typical of a unified and highly-efficient tax service model.
The bureau also launched a door-to-door service, asking taxpayers for their views and suggestions on government work, and promoted tax-related policies and procedures to enterprises in need.
Simplified tax refund procedures have also been rolled out across the county. The average time required to go through those procedures used to be three days; this has now been reduced to just one day.
During the first quarter of 2021, the bureau delivered more than 4,000 tax promotion brochures to villagers, completed tax cuts or exemption work totaling 125.18 million yuan ($18.78 million) and achieved tax refunds totaling more than 78.3 million yuan.
