Xifeng reports industrial economic growth in Jan-Feb

Xifeng county in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, recorded economic growth in the first two months of 2021, with several indicators showing significant increases, according to local media reports.

In terms of the industrial economy, from January to February this year, the county's added value of industries above a designated size increased by 26.3 percent year-on-year, an increase of 14.2 percentage points over the entire year of 2020.

Of these, the added value of the mining industry increased by 26.2 percent year-on-year, the added value of the manufacturing industry increased by 26.6 percent year-on-year, and the production and supply of electricity, heat, gas and water increased by 19.7 percent year-on-year.

In terms of industries, the consumer market has recovered this year, the county's four major industries have returned to their previous levels, and the growth rate has increased significantly.

During the period, the wholesale industry's sales increased by 54.2 percent year-on-year, the retail industry's sales increased by 36.1 percent year-on-year, the accommodation industry's turnover increased by 129.9 percent year-on-year, and the catering industry's turnover increased by 89.5 percent year-on-year.

The county's fixed asset investment and the total retail sales of consumer goods also achieved substantial growth.

From January to February, the county's fixed asset investment completed 55.63 percent of the first quarter's target progress, and the total retail sales of social consumer goods achieved by units above a designated size increased by 62.9 percent year-on-year.
