Xiaozhaiba town -- located in Xifeng county, in Southwest China's Guizhou province -- is to expand its industrial development, with detailed plans having been made for the primary, secondary and tertiary industries, according to local media reports.
In terms of its primary industries, Xiaozhaiba will develop the 500-mu (33.33 hectares) dam area in the Chaoshui rural tourism area and restructure the town's industries.
Xiaozhaiba completed planting of 74,460 mu of crops, with an annual output of 2.40 million tons and an output value of 277 million yuan ($42.88 million).
Plans are for it to increase the diversified integration of its secondary industries, improving the business environment and promoting a range of services to enterprises.
As an example of the progress made to date, Haoyue New Material Technology Co has begun operations in the town and the infrastructure construction project of the Guiyang Chemical Raw Material Medicine Industrial Park has broken ground. Elsewhere, a new pig farm with an investment of 18 million yuan has been completed.
With its Chaoshui and Hongyan rural tourism areas at the center, five boutique farmhouses and rural inns are being developed to create a rural and agricultural sightseeing model that integrates catering farmhouses, leisure fishing and fruit picking.
The transport, communications, commerce and logistics service industries are reportedly developing well. Moreover, all of the administrative villages are now connected to the broadband, and 4G network coverage has reached 100 percent.
