Luwo listed among 'most beautiful towns'

Boasting clear rivers and lush mountains, Luwo town, located in Guizhou province's Xifeng county, was selected as one of the most beautiful towns in China, during an event held in Foshan, South China's Guangdong province, on Dec 27.

Situated on the south bank of Wujiang River, Luwo is blessed with a mild climate, clean air, and lush forests.

In response to national government guidance to protect natural resources, local authorities have been promoting green industries in recent years, including organic farming and fishing, to help villagers lift themselves out of poverty.

Through environmental protection efforts and the development of green industries, Luwo has reaped positive economic results, with a range of indicators showing steady growth, including regional GDP, employment, per capita disposable income, and tourism revenue.
