As of Oct 12, the Federation of Trade Unions in Xifeng county, Southwest China's Guizhou province, has established 100 comprehensive service stations for outdoor workers, all of which are open to the public, according to local officials.
Officials said that the construction of the outdoor laborers' comprehensive service stations is one of the Guizhou provincial government's ten livelihood projects this year.
According to officials, in June this year, the Xifeng Federation of Trade Unions visited and investigated the county's township and sub-district offices, and clarified the goal of establishing 100 comprehensive service stations for outdoor workers.
The 100 service stations have been uniformly produced and are equipped with identification signs. Meanwhile, the stations are equipped with various facilities, including drinking fountains, tables and chairs, raincoats, storage boxes, heaters, electric fans, emergency medicine boxes and mobile phone chargers, all to ensure that sanitation workers, traffic police, couriers, migrant workers and other outdoor workers can shelter from the wind and the rain, and basically provide a place for them to rest, drink water, escape the heat, stay warm and access first aid.
The trade union will continue to improve the service functions of the outdoor workers' comprehensive service stations, and provide better services for outdoor workers.
