In the year to date, Xifeng county -- in Southwest China's Guizhou province -- has issued 26.99 million yuan ($3.81 million) in financial subsidies for agriculture, benefiting 98,000 farmers, according to local officials.
They said the county has issued 19 categories of subsidies, including rural life security and child subsidies.
Xifeng county also worked with a Xifeng rural commercial bank to organize the issuing of bank debit cards and related services to farmers, ensuring that more than 90 percent of farmers will be allocated cards by the end of June.
Meanwhile, the county has installed 42 ATMs and 167 bank service points in 10 villages and towns, which greatly facilitated farmers receiving the subsidies.
Moreover, Xifeng's latest bankbook and bank card to issue financial benefits to farmers have been put into use.
Officials said that they planned to gradually promote the replacement of old cards, and further facilitate members of the public masses to work and receive subsidies.
