At the end of June 2017, Xifeng county had 46 manufacturers above a designated scale – companies with annual revenue of 20 million yuan ($2.83 million) or more. These included 12 phosphorus coal-based chemicals enterprises, 16 construction material enterprises, three pharmaceutical companies, four food companies, one auto parts manufacturer, two plastics products companies, two furniture manufacturers, one feed products company and five other businesses.

Xifeng has to date developed an industrial distribution chain that focuses on phosphorus coal-based chemicals, pharmaceuticals and food, building materials and the manufacturing equipment industries.

The county has formed a number of industrial parks and hubs, which have enterprises above a designated size including Guizhou Taihe Pharmaceutical Co, Guizhou Weimei Food Industry Co and Guiyang Zhengda Co.

The main products are environmentally friendly building materials, green food and auto parts, with a number of products being exported to the United States, France, Japan and South Korea.

Transportation advantages

The Chuanqian Railway, the 210 National Highway, the Guizhou-Chongqing Express Railroad and the Guizun Expressway run through the north and south of Xifeng county, while Jiangdu Expressway runs through the east and west of the county -- elsewhere, vessels using Xifeng Port and its Class III waterway can enter into the Yangtze River from the north.

Xifeng county is 70 kilometers from Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport and 75 km from Zunyi Xinzhou Airport.

Located on an important node of the southwest transportation network, the county has outstanding transportation and location links and huge development potential.
