Xifeng county, located in Southwest China's Guizhou province, has launched special buses for returning its students to school, according to local officials.
The education bureau of Xifeng county has registered students who need to take a special bus and collected basic information including the classes and bus stations of the students.
According to statistics, a total of 138 students need to take special buses to go to school.
A total of four special buses have been employed for ninth grade students at Xifeng No 2 Middle School. The passenger load factor is required not to exceed 50 percent.
The Xifeng Public Transport Co has issued bus cards for ninth grade students, with which students can get 10 percent off their ride. All students are required to use bus cards to pay for rides, to reduce the exposure risk brought by cash payments.
The service's nine drivers need to take nucleic acid tests before they take up their posts. Students are required to wear school uniforms and masks on the bus.
The county is also strictly implementing daily disinfection and ventilation treatment procedures for the special buses and is providing a safe and secure riding environment for students, officials said.
