In recent years, Guizhou Zhongkang Agricultural Science and Technology Co Ltd planted 320 hectares of kiwifruit in Zhongba village and Dahong village in Shijie town in Xifeng county – and now the crop is really bearing fruit.
This year, more than 130 ha of land is bearing kiwifruit and the estimated yield is over one million kilograms, with an output value of more than 18 million yuan ($2.56 million). Officials said the crop will promote the development of local collective economy and increase the incomes of villagers. They added that this year's entire crop of kiwifruit has been ordered and sold to eastern Fujian province, Shanghai, Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region – as well as countries including Thailand and Singapore.
