The First Chinese Gooseberry Harvest Festival and Brand Promotion and Production and Marketing Fair
On Oct 16, Xifeng County held the first Chinese Gooseberry Harvest Festival and Brand Promotion and Production and Marketing Fair, reaching a sales of 800 tons and a sales amount of 12 million yuan($1.70 million).
At the Production and Marketing Fair, the participants exchanged on the fresh-keeping of the Xiuwen Chinese gooseberries after picked, and the creation, promotion and sales channels of the Chinese gooseberry brand. The event attracted e-commerce giants such as Suning, Jingdong, Freshippo, and more than 100 fruit merchants from Fujian, Shanghai, Xinjiang, Liaoning and reached production and sales agreements with nearly 20 dealers.

"As the Chinese gooseberries grow well, taste sweet, the ratio of sugar to acid is high, and the 'Chinese Gooseberry' brand is very well created. We are going to book 50 tons this year." After the visit to the Chinese gooseberry planting base, Zhou Chenxi, the purchasing director of the Lotus market of CP Group, expressed his intention to cooperate.
It is understood that in recent years, Xifeng County has introduced Zhongkang Agricultural Science and Technology Co to develop the Chinese gooseberry industry, and planted Chinese gooseberries (mainly organic) in the Zhongba and Dahong Villages of Shidong Town. It is estimated that this year's yield will reach more than 1,000 tons. At present, with a planting area of more than 13.32 million square meters, and 3,000-ton air-conditioned cold store, automatic Chinese gooseberry sorting line, exhibition center, expert building and other supporting facilities, Guizhou Zhongkang Chinese Gooseberry Park has become a provincial-level key leading enterprise in agricultural industrialization and a provincial-level high-efficiency agricultural demonstration park integrating production, learning and research. In 2018, "Chinese Gooseberry" won the Silver Medal in the First National Chinese Gooseberry Tasting, the Gold Medal in the 12th BIOFACH CHINA, and the title of Reassuring Food for Consumers.
In order to expand the sales market of "Chinese Gooseberry" products, Zhongkang has reached strategic cooperation with major e-commerce companies to open sales channels in Suning, Jingdong, and Freshippo, and launched offline sales in Freshippo, Suning, Lotus Market and Yonghui. The products are very popular in major cities such as Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, and are exported to Singapore and Canada.
The event will help upgrade the Chinese gooseberry industry of Xifeng County, increase the brand influence of "Chinese Gooseberry", and lay a solid foundation for building a "world-class mountain Chinese gooseberry planting area" and a "national high-end Chinese gooseberry industry demonstration zone". Xiang Qingyun, deputy director of the Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Peng Yurong, deputy director of the Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Li Mingwei, deputy head of Xifeng County, and the heads of relevant departments attended the event.
