Guizhou-Portugal travel agents enhance tourism cooperation

The 2025 Guizhou-Portugal travel agents symposium was held on Dec 7 in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

Representatives from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism's Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office, the Guizhou Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, the Portuguese Travel Agents Association, and 13 local Guizhou cultural and tourism enterprises attended the meeting. They discussed tourism products, sales strategies, and market demand.

During the symposium, Portuguese travel agents expressed interest in Guizhou's unique ethnic culture, iconic bridges, and natural environment. They proposed ideas for jointly developing high-end tourism products involving cultural heritage, nature-based adventures, and wellness tourism.

Guizhou culture and tourism enterprises showcased their ground service capabilities, introduced tailored thematic tourism products for long-haul travelers, and outlined initiatives to enhance multilingual support and payment convenience to improve the inbound travel experience. The representatives agreed to jointly expand the market and exchange tourists, establishing a strong foundation for future cooperation.
