The 2024 Guizhou Provincial A-Level Tourist Attraction Service Skill Competition concluded in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Nov 25.
After intense competition in four categories – tourist attraction introduction, sightseeing vehicle driving, security, and front desk service – 42 winners were selected.
Guiyang performed exceptionally well, with nine participants from Qingyan Ancient Town, the Xifeng Concentration Camp Revolutionary History Memorial Hall, Tianhetan Scenic Area, Xifeng Nanshan Tianmu Hot Spring, Huaxi National Urban Wetland Park, the Guizhou Provincial Geological Museum, and Poly International Hot Spring winning awards. The city was also honored with the excellent organization award.
In addition to demonstrating their professional service skills, participants were required to answer random questions, undergo comprehensive evaluations in areas such as scenic area cultural history, handle emergencies, and related knowledge.
The competition aims to improve the service quality of Guizhou's A-level tourist attractions, enhance the professional capabilities and sense of honor among service personnel, and build a team of scenic area employees with excellent character, proficient skills, deep knowledge, and strong service capabilities.
The initiative aims to support the high-quality development of Guizhou's tourism industry and provide talent support for the province to become a world-class tourist destination.
