Guiyang celebrates 2024 Cultural and Natural Heritage Day

Guiyang's celebration for the 2024 Cultural and Natural Heritage Day was held at the former site of Dadu School on June 10.

The event showcased diverse intangible cultural heritage items unique to Guizhou. It not only highlighted the distinctive historical relics of Guiyang, but also celebrated the charm of Guizhou's ethnic cultures.

Statistics show that Guiyang is home to 350 immovable cultural heritage sites, and the Guiyang Cultural Relics Protection Center strives to enhance protection and research on cultural relics and historical culture.

Various cultural and museum activities have been launched this year to demonstrate achievements in the preservation of cultural heritage.

The event featured ethnic dancing, singing and instrumental performances, leaving a deep impression on audiences, who expressed appreciation for the rich cultural heritage and endless charm of ethnic cultures.

Furthermore, the event featured an intangible cultural heritage market, including exhibits from 10 cultural and creative enterprises specializing in Guizhou delicacies, Bouyei paper dyeing and embroidery techniques, Chen's roasted chicken, and Guiyang's special "guailu rice".

Visitors not only savored authentic Guizhou cuisine, but also experienced the production processes of intangible cultural heritage crafts, gaining deeper insights into the preservation and development of Guizhou's intangible cultural heritage.
