The tour exhibition of the Chinese National Art Biennale started at the Guizhou Airport Art Center in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on April 28. The exhibition is a communication and promotion project of the China National Arts Fund.

Following the concept of "combining exhibition with aesthetic education," the exhibition features 100 representative works from the fifth Chinese National Art Biennale, including 60 Chinese paintings and 40 oil paintings.

The exhibited works focus on the daily lives and cultures of various ethnic groups, with themes such as cultural traditions, historical customs, regional landscapes, and real lives.

They not only protect ethnic cultures and traditions, but also explore the modern transformation of these cultures.

Over the past decade, the Minzu University of China has attached great importance to the creation of art themed on ethnic culture and the development of fine arts in ethnic regions.

It has jointly organized China national art exhibitions themed on Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia, Guizhou, Yunnan and Guangxi with institutions such as the China Artists Association.

It has also supported and assisted the Ethnic Art Committee of the Chinese Artists Association in hosting five sessions of the Chinese National Art Biennale. More than 10,000 outstanding artworks themed on Chinese ethnic groups have been released, leading to the discovery or cultivation of a large number of outstanding ethnic art talents, achieving positive social effects and accumulating rich experience in the creation and discussion of ethnic art.

The exhibition will continue until May 28 before being held successively in Guangxi, Yunnan, Xinjiang, and Ningxia.
