Xiamen tourism promotion event opens in Guiyang

The 2024 Xiamen culture and tourism investment promotion event was held in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on April 22.

Through a series of activities including video presentations, tourist route announcements, folk culture experience programs, and special performances, the event showcased the integrated culture and tourism resources of Xiamen's Haicang district.

To cater to the diverse needs of Guiyang tourists, six premium tourist routes in Haicang were unveiled, offering experiences ranging from heritage preservation, authentic local cuisine, and vibrant floral explorations, to coastal leisure excursions, rural hot springs, and industrial cultural insights.

To ensure Guiyang's visitors got to full experience Haicang's natural beauty, scenic displays and coastal-themed photo-taking spots were set up on site.

Moreover, the event featured numerous interactive activities. Visitors marveled at the intangible cultural heritage exhibition, which featured Minnan drumming, puppetry, and incense art.

Local delicacies like Shacha sauce noodles, nougat, and egg pastries, all showcasing Minnan flavors, received unanimous praise. The interactive lucky draw segment saw attendees receiving Haicang culture and tourism gift packages. Finally, guests got to experience the Bo Bing game, a national intangible cultural heritage, which brought great delight.
