International students visit Gui'an Cherry Blossom Park

On March 25, international students of Guizhou Vocational and Technical College of Water Resources and Hydropower visited Gui'an Cherry Blossom Park to enjoy the early cherry blossoms, read some ancient poetry, sing folk songs, and create Chinese paintings.

Gui'an Cherry Blossom Park, in Southwest China's Guizhou province, covers an area of more than 24,000 mu (1,600 hectares), and boasts over 700,000 cherry blossom trees.

Wang Yishan (Das Eshan) from Bangladesh immersed himself in the artistic conception of poetry in the park. He said that the cherry blossoms are a beautiful scene, presenting the beauty distributed in poetry.

With a dream of becoming a mechanical engineer, 20-year-old Wang Yishan studied in Bangladesh for two years before coming to China for further studies.

"China's mechanical engineering education is excellent, and it has advanced mechanical engineering equipment. I hope to learn more professional knowledge and skills in China so that I can help more young people like me when I return to my country," Yishan added.

Wang Zi (Md Roknul Islam), a 25-year-old Bangladeshi student, has completed his undergraduate degree in electrical automation in Chengdu, and is now continuing his studies in Guizhou.

"I also want to study international relations to further my financial and political knowledge. I hope to contribute to promoting economic, trade, and cultural cooperation between China and Bangladesh in the future," expressed Wang Zi.

Xia Lin (Sharlyn Delgado Urena), a 33-year-old student from Costa Rica, said that China's cultural and tourism industry is developing rapidly, which is why she came to study tourism management in China. In the future, she wants to promote cultural and tourism exchange between China and Costa Rica.

The purpose of this trip was to bring the classroom outdoors, using Guizhou beautiful scenery in springtime to allow international students to get closer to nature, experience Chinese poetry, songs, paintings, said Yu Dandan, a teacher at the  International Education School at Guizhou Vocational and Technical College of Water Resources and Hydropower.
