The first session of the 2024 Guiyang urban cultural city walk activity series took place on March 13 at the Jiaxiu Pavilion scenic area and the Guizhou Ethnic Culture Palace in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
City walks involve exploring the city on foot, which is a slow-paced, immersive alternative way of experiencing urban culture.
More young people are interested in city walks, as they feel these designated walking routes allow them to discover more hidden gems.
The activity attracted over 50 tour guides, who offered interesting information while walking, garnering the attention of numerous tourists and locals.
The Jiaxiu Pavilion, as a landmark building in Guiyang, and Guizhou Ethnic Culture Palace, an important venue showcasing Guizhou's ethnic culture, allowed local tour guides and citizens to learn more about Guiyang's cultural heritage.
According to Guiyang Colorful Tourist Service Center, the center will increase investment and continue to carry out city walk activities. With the help of excellent tour guides and experts in Guizhou culture, the center aims to build a specialized and innovative tour guide team whose sole focus is promoting Guiyang's city culture.
