Guiyang's pedestrian street receives national honor for nighttime economy

According to the updated list of national nighttime culture and tourism consumption clusters, which was released by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism on Jan 25, Qingyun Road Pedestrian Street in Guiyang was selected among 102 such clusters across the country.

It is the second location in Guiyang to make the list, following Qingyan Ancient Town, which was selected in 2021.

Qingyun Road Pedestrian Street stretches from Zunyi Road in the west to the Memorial Tower in the east, and covers a total length of 1,041 meters. In 2020, Qingyun Road underwent renovations while still preserving its history and regional characteristics.

In January 2022, Qingyun Road Pedestrian Street completed its renovation work and officially reopened to the public. The transformed pedestrian street evolved from a night market into a trendy cultural area that integrates dining, cultural experiences, leisure, and shopping.

Qingyun Road Pedestrian Street was awarded the title of "2023 Provincial Commercial Pedestrian Street" and was selected as a provincial-level tourist leisure area in Guizhou. It was also awarded the title of 2022 provincial-level nighttime consumption cluster. Its Qingyun Market was also named a 2022 provincial-level nighttime gourmet block.
