Guiyang among China's top 10 tourist destinations during New Year's Day holiday

According to the "2024 New Year's Day holiday travel consumption report" released by online travel agency LY on Jan 1, Guiyang in Southwest China's Guizhou province was among the top 10 hottest tourist destinations during the holiday.

Flights from Hangzhou to Guiyang and Wenzhou to Guiyang ranked among the top 10 in terms of ticket bookings, while Guiyangbei Station became a popular train station for holiday transportation.

During the 2024 New Year's Day holiday, Guiyang's overall tourism order volume increased by 30 percent compared to the same period last year, while outbound travel orders increased by 333 percent.

Statistics showed that the most popular tourist destinations for Guiyang residents were Chongqing, Chengdu, Kunming, Guangzhou, and Beijing. The preferred international destinations for Guiyang residents for outbound travel were Hong Kong, Thailand, Japan, and Macao.
