Huaxi district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, is seen as "Guiyang's back garden" due to its beautiful scenery. In recent years, the district has attached great importance to the industrialization of tourism.
Efforts have been made by Huaxi to tap into local natural and cultural resources, develop more tourism products, cultivate new business models, improve services, and connect scenic spots into a tourism chain.
This year, the district has sent delegations to multiple cities, such as Chongqing and Xi'an, to promote its tourism industry by publicizing its scenic spots and inviting people to visit Huaxi.
Since the start of summer, Huaxi has planted flowers in several areas to promote the integration of Huaxi Park and Shizi Street, aiming to create an urban environment that features a combination of commercial streets and parks.
Huaxi's villages, towns and scenic spots have also launched activities to promote their tourism development. Qiantao township initiated the "Baizhuang Qiantao" project, planning to build the township into a destination for sojourn.
Tianhetan Tourist Resort provided an array of promotional events for the public and organized events such as firework shows, music festivals and light shows.
