It is responsible for formulating the municipal cultural and tourism development plans, and organizing implementation; surveying, planning, developing and protecting cultural and tourism resources; constructing, assessing and managing national A-class (and above) tourist attractions in accordance with the authority; guiding the planning of key tourist areas, destinations and routes; guiding the innovation and development of cultural and tourism products; guiding the construction of key grassroots culture and tourism facilities at the national and provincial levels; and guiding the construction of cultural and tourism industrial parks, scenic spots, urban tourism complexes and bases.
