On Jan 14, Guiyang's bureau of culture and tourism in Southwest China's Guizhou province held a symposium on the prevention and control of COVID-19 in the tourism sector during the winter-spring period.
Departments from Guiyang's municipal and district levels, Shuanglong Airport Economic Development Zone and Guian New Area attended the symposium.
The meeting emphasized guarding against imported COVID-19 cases and a rebound in locally transmitted cases. It was stated at the meeting that any instances of concealing, misreporting or delayed reporting of COVID-19 cases would incur significant trouble.
All tourism attractions will be expected to implement anti-pandemic measures. The maximum attendance rate of scenic spots shall not exceed 75 percent of the spot's total capacity.
When entering attractions, tourists must have their temperature taken, scan the health code and wear face masks. Public areas should be disinfected daily.
Guiyang's bureau of culture and tourism shall carry out special supervision to ensure the smooth implementation of disease prevention and control measures.
Departments and enterprises that attended the symposium signed letters of commitment to stick to the COVID-19 prevention and control measures.
