Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, promoted its winter tourism on Dec 22 in Changsha, the capital of Central China's Hunan province.
The promotional event highlighted Guiyang and Changsha's advantages and shared the tourist resources in both cities. The goal was to allow them to achieve mutual development in the tourism industry.
Guiyang has been devoted to developing all-in-one tourism in recent years relying on its environment and ethnic culture. Currently, Guiyang has 10 hot springs with 10 more under construction. It also has 51 ethnic groups to offer unique ethnic cultural experience to tourists.
Guiyang welcomed Changsha's citizens to come to enjoy its winter scenery, have a taste of its traditional food and purchase exquisite cultural products, tea and traditional Chinese medicine in the city.
Recommended winter tourism routes and hot springs were also introduced at the event.
Companies and travel agencies from Guiyang and Changsha signed cooperation agreements at the gathering to enhance exchanges and seek mutual development.
An exhibition area was set up at the event to showcase Guiyang's tourism products, scenery, traditional food and ethnic culture.
