Tongxin village in Huaxi district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, is a very special place, home to two ancient ginkgo trees that are 1,000 years old.
These arboreal time travellers can be found just 14 kilometers away from Huaxi district and 27 km away from downtown Guiyang city.
One of the large ginkgo tree is more than 40 meters high, more than 10 m in circumference, with a trunk diameter of about 4 m.
