Guanshanhu district in Guiyang -- capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province -- received 1.14 million tourists and achieved tourism revenue of 800 million yuan ($118.9 million) during the recent Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday, according to the local culture, sports, radio, television and tourism bureau.
The district launched a series of tourism routes and activities while strengthening its novel coronavirus prevention and control measures.
Major shopping malls, supermarkets and cinemas seized the opportunity to launch special holiday offers and discounts and activities, signaling a strong recovery in the consumer market.
In addition, the district organized a light show to mark the 71st anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
The dazzling light show featured exciting and vivid images, creating a festive atmosphere for tourists.
