The average growth rate from January to August of businesses resident in the Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone – located in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – was 23.03 percent, ranking it first in the city.
During the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-20), Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone embraced high-quality development and achieved continuous progress in various aspects.
In 2019, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, had a total economic volume of 400 billion yuan ($56.33 billion), with an overall stable economy.
