Using the Guiyang Big Data Security Industry Demonstration Zone, the Guiyang Economic Technology Development Zone (GETDZ) operates the National Big Data Security Range.
Officially designated in 2018, the test range has been integrated into the national strategic framework and can support simultaneous cyber attack-defense drills involving up to 500 participants. The demonstration zone has gathered over 20 big data security enterprises and more than 40 supporting companies, forming a relatively complete industrial chain.
GETDZ is advancing cross-regional industrial collaboration. In 2025, it partnered with Guangzhou to establish the Guangdong-Guizhou Digital Security Research Institute. By 2026, it had joined forces with Southwestern University of Finance and Economics to launch an innovation hub for test range applications in Chengdu – jointly building a specialized test range for the finance sector and fostering two-way investment and collaboration between the two cities.
At the 2026 China International Big Data Industry Expo (Big Data Expo), 10 security enterprises from GETDZ showcased their capabilities, unveiling seven products and solutions and securing more than 30 preliminary cooperation agreements. Using the test range as a core platform, the zone continues to develop a national big data security industrial collaboration network.
