Guizhou Guicai Innovative Technology Group has completed the smart and digital transformation of its coating workshop.
Before 2019, the workshop relied on a team of 30 workers to achieve a daily production capacity of just eight metric tons, with inconsistent product quality. After upgrades, the same manpower now produces 30 to 36 tons per day in one shift, or 60 to 70 tons with two shifts – a more than threefold efficiency gain. The company's monthly stable output has reached 600 tons.

The company's big data platform, featuring 23 functional modules, has been implemented to enable real-time monitoring of the entire production line. The transformation has reduced production costs by 27 percent, improved the product qualification rate from 82 percent to over 95 percent, and expanded the product range to 11 major categories and 30,000 aluminum profiles, covering mainstream aluminum alloy construction materials.
By the end of December, the company will launch an intelligent production line for aerospace aluminum profiles, requiring only two to three operators. A single production line will achieve an annual output value of up to 100 million yuan ($14 million).
By 2026, Guiyang plans to complete digital upgrades for 393 small and medium-sized enterprises, using big data to drive the transformation of traditional manufacturing industries.
