The first session of the Guiyang Economic Technology Development Zone (GETDZ) artisans visit campus (professionals give advice to students) event in 2026 took place at Guizhou Aviation Vocational and Technical College.
The guest speaker was local talent Lu Guangwen, who serves as the workshop leader at Guizhou Aerospace Fenghua Precision Equipment Co and is a level one senior technician.
Lu has won first place in provincial bench worker competitions, second place in provincial skill selection contests, and has been awarded honors including Model Worker of Guizhou province and Provincial Technical Expert. He has also trained 12 skilled apprentices to date.
Lu shared his professional journey, providing insights into the career development of technicians and advising students to solidify their foundational skills.
Following his talk, students engaged in an interactive session, posing questions about study methods, career planning, and corporate employment standards, to which Lu responded individually.
This event aimed to highlight the exemplary role of skilled professionals, promote the concept of success through mastering skills, cultivate the spirit of craftsmanship among young people, and reserve skilled talent for the industrial development of GEDTZ.
