The latest semi-concealed car door handles produced by Guizhou Huachang Automobile Electrics Co (Guizhou Huachang) in Guiyang Economic Technology Zone (GETDZ), are set to be supplied to Beijing Automotive Group, featuring a mechanical structure that allows the door to be opened from the outside.

This is in accordance with new regulations from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, which address the growing popularity of concealed door handles in new energy vehicles that may not function during power outages, requiring all new energy vehicle models to be equipped with mechanical redundancy devices starting in 2027.

With over 30 years of industry experience, Guizhou Huachang completed the development of its semi-concealed door handles in June 2025, taking only five months from design to mass production – nearly half the industry average.
The company boasts a full-process production system, technical expertise, and benefits from strong support in industry-academia-research collaboration and intelligent manufacturing through Avic Guizhou Guihang Automotive Components Co, its parent company's resources.

This new product has strong market demand, with monthly sales peaking at 16,500 units. As a national "little giant" enterprise specializing in niche advanced industries, Guizhou Huachang invests at least 6 percent of its annual revenue into R&D, holds 86 national patents, and is currently accelerating its digitalization and intelligent manufacturing upgrades to further enhance production capacity.
