The Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ) is the cornerstone of Guiyang industry development and one of the most exemplary industrial zones in Guizhou province.
Established 31 years ago as the first of its kind in the province, GETDZ has embarked on a journey of progress, daring to explore amidst waves of reform and practice modernization.

Over the past three decades, GETDZ has evolved into a true model of Guizhou's industry and a demonstration area for reform and opening-up.
In 2000, GETDZ was upgraded to a national-level zone, utilizing its industrial advantages to accelerate investment attraction and promote industrial upgrading.
In 2010, the Xiaohe-Mengguan Industrial Park was initiated within GETDZ. In 2017, it became Guizhou's first industrial park to exceed 1 billion yuan ($141.54 million) in output value.
GETDZ has pioneered a collaborative mechanism involving government, enterprises, universities, and research institutions to enhance technological breakthroughs and talent development. Strategic partnerships with universities have yielded 39 scientific projects that have won awards in Guizhou.
By fostering deep integration between the industrial and innovation chains, GETDZ has seen a surge in innovation. The number of high-tech enterprises grew from 52 in 2017 to 180 today. The zone hosts 81 provincial-level and 101 municipal-level research and development platforms.
Focused on talent attraction, cultivation, utilization, and retention across the entire chain, GETDZ has strived to establish itself as a hub that attracts talent from near and far.
With years of development, the total talent pool in GETDZ has reached 71,500, with an average annual growth rate exceeding 10 percent.
