On Aug 5, inside the Guizhou Yeata Technology (Group) Co, workers were busy cutting fiberglass and assembling boxes to fulfill an order for a batch of 6.8-meter-long refrigerated trucks.
The company is located in the specialized vehicle manufacturing industrial park of the Guizhou Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ), Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

As a leading player in the field of sanitation and special vehicles in Southwest China, the company has seen its market share in Southwest China expand to 40 percent in recent years.
However, the company has greater ambitions. In August 2023, the company's new business sector, the "Yeata Kechi" refrigerated truck production base, officially commenced operations in the Xiaohe-Mengguan Industrial Park, becoming the largest mid-to-high-end refrigerated truck production base in Southwest China.
Throughout this year, the company has actively established close cooperation with leading new energy enterprises such as Geely and BYD to jointly explore the new energy special vehicle market.
GETDZ is seizing opportunities to accelerate the development of the new energy vehicle (NEV) industry, encouraging enterprises to lay out and optimize specific segments like new energy coaches, new energy special vehicles, and NEV components.
Also, through the establishment of the specialized vehicle manufacturing industrial park, GETDZ is injecting strong momentum into the new energy specialized vehicle industry. The industrial park is being constructed in two phases, with the first phase including new construction, renovation of existing buildings, new factories, supporting facilities, and an intelligent parking lot project.
The NEV industry is a crucial component of the "two main industries and one special industry" in GETDZ, and GETDZ is currently focusing on these industries to increase industrial scale and promote cluster development, aiming to surpass a total industrial output value of over 100 billion yuan ($13.93 billion) by 2025. Specifically, the NEV industry aims to achieve an output value of 10 billion yuan.
