In order to learn more about the problems faced by SMEs in terms of scientific and technological innovation, the science and entrepreneurship service center of the Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ) has conducted extensive visits to local companies for research purposes.
After conducting a thorough analysis, customized suggestions for technological innovation were received from 11 technology companies within the zone's jurisdiction on Aug 22.
During the process, the center focused on two main areas: the preparations for high-tech enterprise applications, and investment research and development (R&D).
Through this process of comprehensive analysis, it was discovered that the companies are experiencing issues such as insufficient R&D investment, a limited number of approved technology projects, a lack of project management, and high R&D costs.
Based on the situation of each company, specific and personalized suggestions were provided. These proposals included strengthening cooperation with research institutions such as Guizhou University, consolidating technology projects, and actively applying for project funding.
Additionally, it was recommended that efforts be stepped up to create more intellectual property due to the longer approval time required for invention patents, as well as calls to establish and improve auxiliary accounts for R&D investment.
Each suggestion included a warm reminder informing companies about the collaborative platform between universities and the industry, and the availability of resources for resolving technical problems, project applications, and talent recruitment.
The companies were also informed about the fast-track pre-approval process for intellectual property rights in equipment manufacturing and information technology.
