Since the beginning of this year, Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ) has made significant progress in promoting regional industrial breakthroughs.
Data shows that there are 45,791 registered operating entities in the GETDZ, including 29,572 individual businesses and 16,176 enterprises, of which 93 percent are private enterprises.
From January to June, private industrial enterprises in the GETDZ above a designated size achieved a total output value of 1.94 billion yuan ($266.39 million).

This year, Guizhou Xinshuguang Cable Co based in the GETDZ has successfully expanded into the new energy field, with a focus on power grid construction.
In the first half of this year, the company achieved approximately 300 million yuan in industrial output value, a 20 percent year-on-year increase. Its goal for the second half is to focus on the layout and production of high-voltage lines in the new energy vehicle battery industry.
The GETDZ has also encouraged and guided companies to increase their investment in research and development and technological innovation to promote the improvement of industrial quality and efficiency.

As a leading enterprise in the electronic information manufacturing industry in Southwest China, Guiyang Hisense Electronics Co has accelerated the deep integration of big data with production, management, and operations.
This has allowed its annual production of televisions to increase from several hundred thousand sets to an expected breakthrough of 3 million sets this year.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the GETDZ. Since it was set up, the zone has made significant progress in industrial development, with the total industrial output value increasing from 1.02 billion yuan in 1993 to 60.5 billion yuan in 2022, nearly 60 times growth.
Moving forward, the GETDZ will remain committed to becoming a zone strong in industrial development while striving for more breakthroughs.
