As of Nov 15, all waste in the Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ) has been directed to the Chenliang Transfer, Sorting, and Recycling Center.
From Nov 15 to 20, the center processed 1,524 metric tons of waste, an average of 254 tons per day, enhancing waste management efficiency and driving sustainable development in the GETDZ.
The center, which covers an area of approximately 17 mu (1.13 hectares), will classify and sort GETDZ waste, maximizing resource utilization and protecting the environment. It can process up to 350 tons per day and features a classified waste compaction transfer station, a recyclable material sorting workshop, and a wastewater collection system.
The center's official launch signifies a significant advancement in environmental protection efforts within the GETDZ. Through centralized, professional, and efficient waste management practices, the zone can substantially elevate its environmental standards and provide residents with a more aesthetically pleasing and healthy living environment.
