Representatives of Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ) in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, attended the Guizhou foreign trade industry promotion meeting at the 133rd Canton Fair in Guangzhou, Guangdong province on May 4.
The zone formed delegations comprising different companies including Guizhou Zhongyi Electrical Testing Co and Guizhou Gui Tea Co to participate in the Canton Fair, helping expand the companies' market shares.
Guizhou Zhongyi Electrical Testing Co received preliminary orders worth 320,000 yuan ($46,304) in its first exhibition, while the booth of Guizhou Gui Tea Co received over 50 foreign businesspeople.
At the promotional meeting, representatives of GETDZ introduced the zone, focusing on its location and transportation, industrial foundation, talent advantages, resources and supporting factors.
GETDZ representatives invited participating entrepreneurs to visit the zone for further cooperation and investment and had in-depth discussions with and established contacts with the Guangzhou Office of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and the Guangdong Foreign Investment Enterprises Chamber of Commerce.
Moving forward, to boost the zone's open economy development in high quality, GETDZ will continue to help local enterprises go global and attract high-quality enterprises by leveraging various international fairs.
