The list of 30 national logistics hubs to be built in 2023 recently released by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) included Guiyang's production and service-oriented logistics hub.
It is the second logistics hub to be included after the Guiyang land-port national logistics hub in 2020.
The selection is expected to give Guiyang a favorable environment for the development of "channels + hubs + networks" in the logistics industry, promote the integrated development of the production, manufacturing, and supply chains, and promote the circular operation of production, circulation, and consumption.
It will help explore the path of integrated development between logistics and manufacturing in Guiyang, further enhance the support and guarantee capacity of the logistics industry for the national economy, and better support the development of the real economy in Guizhou.
In 2020, Guiyang proposed building the Guiyang land-port national logistics hub in Gaimao area and the Guiyang airport national logistics hub in Shuanglong area. The plan aimed to optimize the layout of logistics facilities, accelerate the construction of a comprehensive port system, strengthen hub economies, and enhance the capacity for integrated transportation.
By relying on the Guiyang Free Trade Zone and Dulaying railway freight yard and cooperating with the northern logistics aggregation area, the goal is to build a production and service-oriented national logistics hub.
Guiyang also aims to accelerate the establishment of grain and oil distribution centers and create a modern smart logistics park that integrates multimodal transport, warehousing and distribution, commodity trade, e-commerce, logistical finance information, and urban distribution.
