Guiyang North Railway Station in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, is the largest passenger station in Guiyang and the largest high-speed railway station in the province.
On Dec 26, 2014, Guiyang North Railway Station was put into operation with the opening of the Guiyang-Guangzhou High-speed Railway, the first high-speed rail in Guizhou.
In the past decade, the station's daily traffic has increased from around 3,000 people to a record 142,000 people, a nearly 50-fold increase.
It has a total construction area of 255,000 square meters and a total of 15 platforms and 32 train routes. It has introduced multiple routes, such as the Guiyang-Guangzhou High-speed Railway, the Shanghai-Kunming High-speed Railway, the Guiyang-Kaiyang Intercity Railway, the Chongqing-Guiyang Railway, the Chengdu-Guiyang High-speed Railway, and the loop-line of the Guiyang urban express railway.
By the end of 2022, the total length of Guizhou's high-speed railway had exceeded 1,600 kilometers, linking it via high-speed rail with major cities throughout the country.
