Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, will roll out a series of measures to increase the number of market players, expand their scale and increase their competitiveness.
The zone plans to add 25 industrial enterprises above designated size – those with annual revenue of 20 million yuan ($2.88 million) or more, one construction enterprise with a nationally-recognized qualification, eight wholesale, retail sale, accommodation and catering enterprises each with annual revenue of 2 million yuan or more, and 16 service enterprises each with annual revenue of 5 million yuan or more in the current year.
It will also strive to become home to more than 1,000 new market entities this year.
Throughout the year, the zone will develop 80 high-tech enterprises, one national-level professional, innovative and competitive enterprise with strong growth potential in a specific industry, eight such small and medium-sized enterprises at provincial level, and 11 such enterprises at the municipal level.
It will fully implement policies for enterprises, promote the development of manufacturing, consolidate its industrial foundation, ensure that market entities enjoy tax and fee reductions, and carry out targeted services for enterprises to help them overcome obstacles to their development.
The employment of college graduates will be stepped up this year, with 5,000 jobs to be provided. The zone aims to have at least 4,000 college students find employment or start their own businesses in the area.
In addition, 687 sets of affordable rental housing will be constructed, and 1,281 sets of guaranteed rental housing for talent will be built.
