Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ) in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has stepped construction on an industrial park producing automobiles, local media reported.
The construction project is divided into two phases. with phase one focusing on the construction of new facilities and renovation of old buildings.

The new buildings occupy an area of about 70,000 square meters and include a new factory, supporting buildings and intelligent parking lots. About 120,000 square meters of old buildings will be upgraded and renovated.
Multi-story standardized workshops and supporting buildings will be built as part of phase two.
Work on phase one started in April last year and is 69 percent complete. It is expected to be completed and pass inspection in June.
Kong Fanzheng, deputy director of the engineering department of Guiyang Economic Development Zone Industrial Development and Investment Holding Co, said that after about half a year's construction, 120,000 square meters of standard factory buildings have been fully upgraded, with a total of 11 enterprises already operating in the park.
The park will work to attract more enterprises engaged in automobile manufacturing, introduce upstream and downstream supporting enterprises in the industrial chain, continue to expand its industrial scale, improve the industrial chain and form industrial clusters, officials said.
