Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ) in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has used big data to boost industrial innovation, making full use of digital technology to help enterprises in the zone promote industrial transformation and upgrading.
Digital industrialization and industrial digitalization, as the key support for the integrated development of the digital economy and the real economy, have become the core drivers of the current industrial transformation and upgrading in GETDZ.
From January to November 2022, GETDZ helped 30 real economy enterprises integrate with big data. The revenue of internet-related services, software and the information technology service industry is expected to amount to 572 million yuan ($83.4 million).
Twenty-eight emerging digital economy projects, two major digital economy enterprises and 10 enterprises fostering next-generation information technology were introduced in GETDZ.
At the factory of Guizhou Guicai Innovative Technology Co, the vehicles loaded with aluminum materials continue to drive out, the automatic production line runs at full capacity, and the data on the intelligent manufacturing platform is constantly updated. "Through the platform, you can get a clear picture," said Li Yanlei, the company's deputy general manager.
The company started intelligent transformation in 2019, and through digital management and artificial intelligence technology, the production efficiency has been significantly improved, Li said.
The product development cycle and delivery period have been greatly shortened, and production efficiency has increased by 30 percent, according to Li. Big data enabled the company to achieve an output value of 620 million yuan in 2022, up 28 percent year on year.
