The Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ) in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has been making strides in optimizing its business environment so as to promote the development of local major projects, according to local media reports.
On Dec 29, 2022, the Phase I project of Guiyang Amer Precision Conductor Industrial City, located in the GETDZ, was officially put into operation. It took merely 11 months for the project to go from contract signing to being put into production.
The total investment of the project was 11.9 billion yuan ($1.73 billion), and the first-phase investment was 5.2 billion yuan. Now that the project is in operation, it is estimated to have an annual output of 250,000 metric tons of low-oxygen bright copper rods, 100,000 tons of low-oxygen bright copper wires, and 100,000 tons of special cables.
In order to promote project construction in an orderly manner, the GETDZ and Amer Group jointly established a project construction leading team, along with engineering construction headquarters. Specific construction period objectives were formulated, the responsible persons were identified, and the construction of the project was promoted in strict accordance with the plan.
Currently, the GETDZ is making every effort to develop its new energy battery and material industries, continue to expand its electronic information manufacturing industry, and focus on the development of its electronic information manufacturing, advanced equipment manufacturing and new energy vehicle sectors.
