Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ) in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, aims to build a new modern industrial town to support the growth of State-owned companies and private businesses in Guiyang and make contributions to the high-quality development of the provincial capital.
While prioritizing new-type industrialization, the development zone strives to advance the high-quality, green and intensive development of the industry, and it has earned 10 national honors, including being designated as a Yangtze River Economic Belt National Transformation and Upgrading Demonstration Development Zone, National Recycled Transformation Demonstration Pilot Park, and National Ecological Industry Demonstration Park.
As a national development and innovation platform in Guizhou province, GETDZ is not only the center for the development of Guiyang's real economy, but also an important part of Guiyang's efforts to promote high-level opening-up and achieve high-quality development.
It plans to build itself into a new modern industrial town in the south of Guiyang and become a development zone with an output of more than 100 billion yuan and a higher-level national opening-up platform by 2025.
The development zone has highlighted and strengthened the status of industrial projects, fully carried out industrial investment promotion, focusing on the introduction of advanced equipment manufacturing, electronic information manufacturing, new energy vehicles and other industrial projects.
The advanced equipment manufacturing industry in the development zone has formed an industrial cluster led by enterprises such as Guizhou Aerospace Control Technology, which is affiliated to China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation, and Guizhou Jonyang Kinetics Co, a manufacturer of the hydraulic excavator with business in the fields of aerospace, engineering machinery and energy and mining equipment.
There are more than 30 enterprises in the advanced equipment manufacturing industry in GETDZ. The new-energy automobile industry has formed an industrial development system, led by enterprises such as Chery &Wanda Guizhou Bus Co, Guizhou Space Appliance Co, and Guiyang Potevio Logistics Technology Co, covering the manufacturing of complete automobiles and automobile parts.
