Officials in Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone, located in Guiyang, Guizhou province, have been enthusiastic developers of the industrial internet, which has benefitted a large number of local companies, particularly those involved in the advanced equipment manufacturing industry.
A significant achievement of the zone was the launch of an industrial internet platform last October, the first of its kind in China. Cherry Wanda Bus, a new energy commercial vehicle maker, was one of the beneficiaries of the platform.
Li Hongda, the company's operation director, said that the platform has helped strengthen the company's management, improved its production efficiency, optimized its production pattern, and helped to maximize benefits.
Liu Wei, general manager of Guizhou Shuanhui Big Data Industrial Development Co, developer of the platform, revealed that the company will help digitize and intelligentize local advanced equipment manufacturing firms through the development of the industrial internet.
Guizhou Jinjia New Packaging Material Co was another beneficiary. The behavior identification management service that the platform provides helps guarantee the company's equipment security, as well as supervising and controlling risk factors, according to Tang Kuanjun, deputy general manager of Jinjia.
At present, over 130 companies in the zone have finished developing industrial internet infrastructure. Equipment from over 60 enterprises has been connected to the cloud platform, and important equipment data from more than 20 enterprises has been collected. Around 50 companies have been equipped with a manufacturing execution system.
In addition, the zone's industrial internet infrastructure also includes an equipment maintenance service center, a shared industrial intelligent equipment terminal lab center, a quality test service center, a marketing center, and a training center.
