The Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone, or GETDZ, signed two projects involving hydrogen energy at a forum themed on green and clean energy held on July 12 in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
The GETDZ's management committee signed an investment agreement for a demonstration project in its hydrogen energy industrial park with Dongfang Boiler Group Co, a subsidiary of Dongfang Electric Corporation.

Dongfang Boiler Group will invest 2 billion yuan ($309 million) in the project, which is expected to have an important demonstration effect on the development of clean energy in Guizhou.
The management committee also signed an agreement for a Sino-German hydrogen energy technology and fuel cell manufacturing project with HEE Technologies GmbH of Germany, Guizhou Gas Group Corporation and Guizhou Maritime Silk Road International Investment Corporation.
The GETDZ is one of 10 national eco-industrial demonstration parks approved by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Science and Technology. It is also the first national eco-industrial demonstration park in Guizhou province.
In line with the concept of "ecology first and green development", the GETDZ has reportedly been optimizing its industrial structure and developing new energy industries. It has focused on building a clean, low-carbon, safe and efficient modern energy system and promoting the high-quality development of the energy economy.
