The Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ), located in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, will expand the scale and improve the quality of its economy, to provide solid support for the city's leapfrog development.
In order to do so, the GETDZ has put forward specific goals. These include the target that by 2025, the added value of its industries above a designated size will reach 50 billion yuan ($7.7 billion).
In addition, it will build industrial clusters for advanced equipment manufacturing, big data electronic information, health medicine and new energy.
During the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), the output value of these industries is projected to exceed 40 billion yuan.
Also, a reserve fund of 120 billion yuan for industrial projects will be established. Plans are for the GETDZ to introduce two projects worth 1 billion yuan, one project worth 5 billion yuan and 50 projects worth 100 million yuan every year during the period.
In addition, it will continue to leverage the fact that its Xiaohe-Mengguan Industrial Park has been ranked first in the comprehensive evaluation of industrial parks in the province for seven consecutive years.
Meanwhile, the GETDZ will focus on accelerating the construction of new digital infrastructure, improving the industrial financial system, building a scientific and technological innovation system, as well as improving the talent strategy, in order to promote its high-quality development.
