Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ) is striving to achieve an average annual gross domestic product (GDP) growth of more than 15 percent by 2025, amounting to an increase of around 80 billion yuan ($12.38 billion). Such growth will ensure GETDZ ranks among the top 50 national economic and technological development zones in terms of comprehensive competitiveness.
GETDZ is located in Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
Industrialization
GETDZ will consider promoting new-type industrialization as the primary task of high-quality economic development to achieve a breakthrough in industrial clusters.
It will focus on building industrial clusters related to advanced equipment manufacturing, big data electronic information, medicine and health and new energy.
By 2025, it will achieve an industrial added value of 50 billion yuan, accounting for about 60 percent of GDP.
Digital economy
The zone will accelerate the in-depth integration of big data with finance, logistics, commerce, and construction to create applications for digital society, digital government and the digital economy.
Focusing on information infrastructure, integrated infrastructure and innovative infrastructure construction, GETDZ will promote several significant projects to become provincial leaders.
It will also enhance the construction of a big data security industry demonstration zone, strengthen the introduction, incubation and cultivation of big data security companies and institutions, and form a well-known software service outsourcing base.
Innovation
GETDZ will guide enterprises to increase R&D investment and build key laboratories, engineering research centers, industrial innovation centers and technological innovation centers. It will encourage the creation and application of intellectual property rights and deepen scientific and technical cooperation and exchanges.
Through optimizing talent service mechanisms, the zone will provide a favorable development environment for employees and entrepreneurs.
It will also offer superior financial products, promote smart financial services and increase support for enterprises, especially start-up technology-based firms and innovative and entrepreneurial projects.
Reform and opening-up
In terms of constructing a modern logistics system, the zone will focus on remodeling railway ports, the Transhua Logistics Park and Manbang Logistics Park.
The zone will also continue to optimize the business environment and improve the transparency and convenience of services.
Also, through the integration of Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone and Huaxi, Nanming and Wudang districts, it will establish the first pilot free trade zone in the province.
