The first intelligent unmanned sanitation vehicle, developed and manufactured by local companies in Southwest China's Guizhou province, recently began trial operations there.
The new vehicle started work in Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ) in Guiyang, capital city of Guizhou.
The sanitation vehicle is jointly developed by Guizhou Yituo Technology (Group) Co Ltd -- a resident enterprise of the GETDZ -- and two other companies.
The initiative is a pure electric vehicle, using GPS and network communications positioning and has intelligent perception, high-precision positioning and precise control functionalities.
The vehicle also uses artificial intelligence (AI) technology, which can generate big data from operational conditions and feed it back to the sanitation agency, to improve the levels of compliance with urban environmental regulations.
To date, the company has received seven purchase orders from inside and outside the province.
In the current year, GETDZ has made every effort to promote national new strategic infrastructure industries including 5G, new energy and AI. The construction of smart city -- such as the Yituo Technology environmental sanitation cloud platform, urban operation center -- has been rolled out incrementally.
Yituo Technology will work with Guizhou Changyue Kechi Vehicle Co Ltd to start local production of unmanned environmental sanitation vehicles and manned sanitation vehicles in GETDZ next year, paving the way for the project to become the first intelligent driving application industry in the province.
