The Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ) -- in Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province – has issued plans to achieve its development goals, according to GETDZ officials.
They said the zone put together and issued a special work plan, to ensure the successful realization of its 13th Five-Year Plan (2016-20) industrial development goal and make sure its development has a good start during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25).
The GETDZ will focus on its leading industries and accelerate the development of industrial clusters.
It will speed up the cultivation and introduction of electronics information manufacturers and develop the pharma manufacturing industry. The zone will also move to create an industry ecosystem mainly composed of advanced equipment manufacturing, big data electronic information, health medicine, new energy and the smart power grid.
At the same time, the zone will help key enterprises to expand their production capacity and improve the quality and efficiency of their development.
The GETDZ also plans to expand its tracking of key companies, strengthen communications and coordination with them and issue production forecast tables for manufacturers above a designated size, which means those with annual revenue of 20 million yuan ($2.8 million) or more.
At the same time, it plans among other things to guide businesses to expand output and increase their efficiency – as well as to coordinate the resolution of difficulties and problems in their production and operations.
To help attract and increase the numbers of new projects, the GETDZ plans to improve relevant support mechanisms, strengthen services for their establishment, guarantee land, shorten the time it takes to handle various paperwork and speed up overall progress in their development. It will also promote the establishment of major industrial projects to high standards.
The zone will also accelerate the construction of the industrial internet and will establish major functional systems for an industrial internet network, a platform and for security in the zone.
It will create a new network infrastructure that is fully interconnected and speed up the installation of an industrial internet platform based on a system of mass data collection, aggregation, analysis and services.
In addition, it will develop industrial internet related industries -- with the new generation of electronic information technology as the key -- around the industrial internet upstream and downstream industrial supply chain.
It will strengthen investment in and attract more internet of things application devices, smart sensors, cloud computing storage and computing centers, industrial robots, among others.
