A special recruitment fair was successfully held in Ziyun county -- in Southwest China's Guizhou province -- and among the major participants was the Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ), located at Guizhou's capital Guiyang, according to GETDZ officials.
They said the zone organized 11 enterprises under its jurisdiction to participate in the fair for Ziyun county's labor migrants and college graduates, which was held on Aug 23.
GETDZ officials said that information was collected on the labor demand of enterprises and projects in the zone and the labor force surplus in Ziyun county. They said the zone provided 365 jobs for this recruitment activity.
At the jobs fair, GETDZ staff members provided information on current conditions in the zone and relevant employment policies.
They also provided information on salary levels and welfare benefits of companies resident in the GETDZ and 800 copies of publicity materials were distributed.
Officials said more than 100 job seekers and companies reached preliminary employment agreements.
According to local media reports, more than 50 enterprises from inside and outside the province were invited to participate in the jobs fair, providing more than 8,000 high-quality jobs.
More than 3,000 job seekers from Ziyun county participated in the fair -- including migrant workers returning home, poor people, relocated personnel from other regions and graduates from colleges and secondary schools.
